I am sadly going to be looking for a new role (now but from June onwards) as my role at Surviving Economic Abuse is coming to an end due to fundraising issues this is the problem with core fundraising been so hard these days. I will very much miss working with this amazing team.
Why do people still not understand consent for newsletters?
Consent isn’t “we’ve got your email.”
It’s clear, informed, freely given, and easy to withdraw.
If unsure:
• Ask clearly
• Say what you’ll send
• Keep records
• Make unsubscribing simple
It’s not just legal. It’s respectful.

Finding the soft-opt in rules for marketing that the Data (Use and Access) Act 2025 allows hard to recommend to charities as I feel this trample on data rights. I hate opt-out options personally despite the fact that it could mean less money for charities. #GDPR

Yup still going to spend time talking about data protection here. I’m opposed to ID cards for example I think they often will make the most vulnerable more vulnerable and I don’t believe they will solve problems like immigration. Really worried about becoming more of a big Brother state.
As of today i have listened to 8 months, 3 days, 3 hours, 18 minutes of audio books on Audible. Slightly concerned that I listened to 72hrs and 8min of books in December.
Figured it out workmen unplugged my router yesterday.
Sent serval emails yesterday and none of them seem to of gone out, don't understand what happened. Very annoyed as it meant I missed a application time for a role that i spent the best part of four days editing.
