well that means you've chosen the version of the world where all the Good and Evil actually plays out for you to Know about. God already knows, but YOU don't know, and according to him you've (Eve has) chosen to know, which means he in his omnipotence gives you the world of knowing you chose,

But see there's Knowing in the abstract and there's Knowing through direct emotion-laden experience (and Knowing Biblically, ahem). And seems like this Tree of Knowing was about Knowing through experience. And once you eat of the "I wanna know Good from Evil through experience" tree,

Since no people are getting born to then go do Evil (or Good) things, how is Eve supposed to Know Good from Evil? Maybe God coulda set up a lesson plan/book club and taught about Good and Evil as abstract concepts?

(or Hell I guess, if turns out they would have been Bad Evil Baddies). But then Eve is like "Hey I wanna eat from the Tree of Knowledge." Now there's different kinds of knowing, there's knowing how to unclog a toilet, there's knowing how to walk, and there's knowing Good from Evil.

Ok, but see here's a weird loophole scenario: Suppose back in Eden, God is doing exactly that, not letting any babies come into existence from Adam and Eve bc he already knows what Bad shit's gonna happen to them/their descendants. Instead they just skip existence/suffering and go straight to Heaven

Here's my take as an agnostic as to the "God can't be both all-powerful AND all-knowing and still be good" claim. AFAIK the claim is like, if God knows all the suffering that will happen ahead of time, and can stop it, there's no reason why he should let it happen.

And I guess accept vs change could be reframed as homeostasis/safety vs hedonic thrill/risk

Courtly love hero: has mainstream principles that he initially embodies REALLY WELL, then violates them (for love!) despite social fallout for doing so (and is ashamed!)
