I have realized that spouse has likely used all of the fresh basil to make hummus. I realized this in the middle of cooking a recipe that needs the basil. Sigh.

I am pretty tired of making hamantaschen (about 160 made so far), but I'm getting the last batch in tonight because tomorrow baking time will be spent with my old friend the MRI machine.
Four trays with green triangular cookies with light brown filling. A few have reddish or orange filling.
Third hamantaschen batch: vegan matcha white chocolate almond, with some matcha apricot and raspberry when I ran out of the other filling. They fell apart a little, but they taste all right. #purim #baking #cookies #vegan
The last few years I've done a lemon poppyseed (lemon curd filling, poppyseeds in the dough), but I'm switching it out this year for a fig with orange glaze.
