An entire village of incredible people supported me as I searched for my voice and wrote this oped. Their thoughts, teaching and words are expressed within this piece. I feel humbled and deeply grateful to be complemented by their geniuses.
We lose extraordinary scientists because we fail to see how the system works through us. This piece “How Do We Become the Gatekeepers?” is a reflection about professional norms, where they may stem from and the impact on us all
