It certainly isn't this one. Chutzpah, I tell you.

It certainly isn't this one. Chutzpah, I tell you.
Oh look, it's today's definition of the word "chutzpahdik". Because you'd need a fuckton of chutzpah to claim evangelicals are *missing from* the halls of power. Maybe they just misspelled "dominating" or "controlling"???
Recycling Myth: Emo rockers don't give a fork about recycling. This is simply untrue; studies show that 84% of Emo Rockers feel that recycling is a valuable tool in waste diversion. 74% of fans of Waldorf-based "Good Charlotte" say they know this is the anthem and to throw out your plastic utensils. 95% of fans of "Paramore" say that when they sing "Ain't it fun" that they sing "Ain't it fun, then under their breath say " toooo Recycle". Wow...With numbers like that, it's almost like we made that all up. And we did. However, it's important never to judge a book by its cover. It takes a community to participate in waste diversion efforts. So whether that means we're crying to Dashboard Confessionals or debating if Straylight Run was better than Taking Back Sunday. Reducing, Reusing, Refusing, Recycling, and letting things Rot (Compost) takes everyone contributing in multiple ways. It doesn't have to be a dirty little secret. #FrederickRecycles

as Montgomery County prices its elder emos out, Frederick County government welcomes our elder emos with open arms and terrible band puns. we must do better

The middle and high school kids did a great job, even when faced with skeptical Republicans. I was super proud. And also angry enough to choke them with the power of my mind alone.
The New York Times Slurs Filled a Chat Created by a Republican Party Official in Florida After the secretary of the Miami-Dade County Republican Party created the chat for college students, it devolved into slurs against Black and Jewish people.
Slurs spoke themselves unto the mouths of young GOP members again! I just hope that they're all OK!π€‘
Slurs emitted themselves fully formed, from the fingertips of innocent far-right people! That must have been terrifying for them! π€‘
Pray for those that survived spontaneous chat room devolution! π€‘

Yeah I took some MCPS students around to meet with delegates in Annapolis last week and two of them talked about how their classmates were worried about this and they worry their classmates might disappear. I wanted to cry or rage with anger, but instead I helped them tell their stories.
Ugh, I hope you get some rest and feel better.
I continue to be gobsmacked at 1) how common this formulation is 2) how antisemitic and generally bigoted it is 3) and how for all the talk of anti-semitism this is never cited as an example even though itβs quite literally the original incarnation.
Woooooow. Remember when they had to use dog whistles rather than fog horns to say we're puppet masters? I can't believe I'm actually nostalgic for that time.
Take this as a remarkably obvious example.
Claiming a sect of Judaism manipulated the US government into attacking Iran to start a "religious war" is just so blatantly antisemitic.
Let me be clear: Iβm glad Kristi Noem was fired. But we still have to abolish ICE.
Trump's daughter is Jewish and he's a fucking antisemite.
This is not hard, my friend.
Lotta people in interracial relationships can talk about the way racism plays / played out in their relationships, or trans-racial adoptees can talk about the same.
Your fucking point is what exactly.
New York !!!
We donβt know her and
Long as she act right?
Yβall better not let this strawberry blonde , tall , thin eyebrowed queen pay for a drink again
Hey, if you love the 'require alt text for images' setting here on Bsky, go check your settings. I just checked and it got unselected without my input. (It's under accessibility.)
If you didn't already have this checked, go do that now. Reminders to add alt text are good!
Bah humbug, it was deselected for me too, so it's not just your computer. Although that's always a good theory.
This irritates me, because I'm terrible at remembering alt text without the reminder and then I (correctly) feel guilty.
Uuuuugh, I'm sorry :( We deal with pain so incredibly poorly here and I'm sad to hear that you're suffering for it.
Muscle relaxants worked great for me when I was younger, but in recent years I might as well have been eating M&Ms. Hell, even the Tylenol was more effective.
One was a mailman and the other worked at a cafe in New York's Garment District.
May all her teeth fall out, except one which should have a toothache.
It's remarkable that the national media is saying the takeaway from Talarico's win over Crockett is "Democrats are too far left" when the two of them are so ideologically similar.
It's almost as though "too far left" means "too Black."
I was forced to use an AI chatbot for 10 minutes at work. Since then I have been quite rude to AI evangelists at work.
I've only looked at AI output when someone shoves it under my nose or I accidentally use a search engine that does an AI search. Then I curse loudly and run away.
Instead of spraying for mosquitos this summer, try the Mosquito Murder Bucket!
It's cheaper than paying a company and doesn't kill all of the beneficial insects in the area.

Because we could all use a good laugh, I bring you T'ruah's Purim newsletter, guaranteed to make you simultaneously laugh and cry :D

Oh absolutely. It's a fucking awful catch 22 and I hate it SO MUCH. I hate that people are going the extra mile to be awful.
I hope she wins enough to retire *and* to pay the legal fees of a few dozen other trans folks so *they* can win and retire. Holy goddamn guacamole.
Y'know how sometimes your email software cuts off the subject line of a message in an awkward place? I just opened my email and my eye was caught by "Gamers defend ICE" and my brain went "I'MSORRYWTF?"
Full subject? "Gamers defend ICE detainee". Whew, that makes more sense.
It's a small thing, but our family in Israel probably won't be able to get here to celebrate Passover. I suppose it's possible, but it's highly unlikely. I'm not even sure when my youngest BIL, who was visiting, will make it home to NYC. All of this on Purim is...rough.
everybody stay clear on the fact
