I love PocketCasts. Been using it for years, and I still use it (even though I have Spotify), because Spotify inserts ads into podcasts, which already have their own Native ads... It's too much. It's nice to see they're now free.
Highly recommend giving them a look. arstechnica.com/gadgets/2025...
* They're only a lot of work for DIY. A good managed service with preview envs, like Northflank, removes all of the pain from set up and management.
I wrote about ephemeral preview environments on Kubernetes. They can be a lot of work to get up and running*, but they are so worth it. If accelerating the developer feedback loop is important to you (and you don't have preview envs yet), then this post is for you.

A page from Daniel Kahneman's book, "Thinking Fast, and Slow". Shows the research of Paul Slovic, who studied the effect of risk on people's perception of technology.
@jonobacon.bsky.social thanks for the exercise on the CNCF Marketing call today. I'm writing to share this research from Paul Slovic, which suggests that in addition to avoiding calamity, our brains are wired to relate risks with benefits. Always good to discuss both together.
