I've heard of an issue where it uploads all your files to the cloud and deletes them locally. A ransomware style desktop shortcut appears called "where are my files?" there's more to it but be careful lol

Are you able to see the pins by shining a light in, perhaps even get a photo? If they are mis aligned you can force them back as a quick fix, I've seen it happen before
Any repair will be risky and if there's a serious hardware fault will probably require soldering, even the battery is soldered, index controllers have a very anti repair design unfortunately
