More Patriot missiles have been expended this last week than the US is capable of producing in a year.

Lucifer has a point
Missile base at Bid Kaneh hit
Tunnel entrances appeared to have been hit with bunker busters. Support and checkout buildings destroyed as well. Scattered craters suggest some TEL plinking happening too.
Thanks to our friends at Planet Labs for the imagery.

This little piece was the first public report I'm aware of to identify two of the facilities used to train paragliders in the DPRK.
Getting these sites ID'd took multiple years of observation & I think the topic deserves more attention.

Something, something "universal"...
No money for cancer research, though! Gotta cut that waste out
I don't like the beef industry for multiple reasons, but it's something that can be reformed.
However, telling people to lower their standard of living because you keep screwing up the economy & can't admit it, while you live like a queen/king, that gives rise to revolutions
There also doesn't appear to be any plans for how to locate and secure radiological materials, equipment, or technical specialists... all of which could further proliferation or result in accidents
We have no money to feed hungry American children or stop the spread of HIV, but we sure as hell can shell out for more corporate welfare to major oil companies
I don't think North Korea is "next" but here's an interesting run down on which nuclear sites in the country could be vulnerable to bunker busting

Similar vibes with Syria. Israel is "allowing" them to have a government per se, but no functioning economy or military that could ever step outside Syrian borders
Add to that the fact internal communications are getting wrecked, making it more difficult for would-be revolutionaries to organize AND the fact the US & Israel keep murdering anyone with authority who could facilitate some kind of transition (or surrender, for that matter).
Iran has very weak democratic institutions and a civil society deeply 'corrupted' and controlled by the regime.
Mass demonstrations against a government won't magically turn into a revolution if there aren't viable alternatives or major opposition figures.
We. Never. F*king. Learn.

Those service members would still be alive if there had been a basic effort by their leaders at hardening/passive defense. No reason to have a makeshift operations center in a war where you determine D-day.
The looks she was throwing, omg
I don't understand the obsession by this admin with superlatives like "largest" "most complex" military operation in history.
By what metric?
We've hit 1,250 Iranian targets. Cool.
During the Gulf War there were 116,000 sorties in 6 weeks, 17,000 were direct combat/combat support missions
I seem to recall Trump criticizing previous presidents anytime the question of a "timeline" came up.
He called them weak and that it communicated to our enemies the time when we would give up.
Surprised face
Mount BO coming up
That's what's beautiful about regime change under Trump, you get the exact same authoritarian system but with greater embezzlement opportunities!
Reza Pahlavi for next leader of Iran?
I'm sorry, but a guy backed by the very same fascist clique (Thiel et al) who are working to dismantle American democracy probably isn't the right guy to bring about Iranian democracy.
By the Israeli's own admission, recent negotiations were a ruse and there was never interest in a deal. Iran, per Oman, was willing to swear off enriched uranium stockpiling, which is essentially what America wants.
The point of the war is to wage war.
Not to mention staffers talking about the impending operation in a public restaurant the day before... there's no such thing as "secure" in the Trump era, unless you're committing fraud/assault.
I think Bibi is a horrendously bad person, but from an operational POV, the fact Israel appears* to have had operatives working at/around Khamenei's compound such that they could get in and take photos of his body to confirm his death...that's absolutely top level intelligence capabilities.
They also ignore that while no declarations of war took place under Obama, he did at least follow the other laws in place - like informing the Gang of Eight or getting legal cover using the GWOT/NDAAs.
Trump just straight up ignores and does whatever he wants with zero accountability
Agreed it's a naval vessel
But threats were imminent! Imminent! /s/
Saving the people of Iran from being massacred by their government in the streets by massacring elementary schoolgirls from the air.
