Mine too. My friend, my companion and my teacher when Dylan came along. Sad songs are still soothing even tho I’m no longer sad.
I think he is right as far as my life has known it.
Almost like Love,it reaches into the deepest parts of the soul.
Truly been a lifesaver for me throughout my schooling and younger adult years, got me through a lot of despairs.
Music was my 1st love,
@hismajestyservice.bsky.social It is interesting. Not that long ago we did a programme on why do we like sad songs some of us. We had a music journalist who features quite a lot and has been a music journalist for a long time! He said that music reaches us in a way, where no other genre can :)

If it’s true that the United States bombed an elementary school and killed scores of children it is an unfathomable crime. I have never been more disgusted to be an American.

"U.S. military investigators believe it is likely that U.S. forces were responsible for an apparent strike on an Iranian girls' school."
"The strike would rank among the worst cases of civilian casualties in decades of U.S. conflicts in the Middle East."
Hegseth: They don't know what they're up against, and if they think they've got it solved for, they're wrong.
Exactly. Luckily we are IN a world-altering event (apart from frog boiling global warming) right now. As Albo, Wong & the Perfumed Warlord seem incapable of waking up, they must be replaced.
"Howard tied us to America so tightly, it would take a world-altering event to unshackle us. The tragic truth is though, even then, we would probably be on America’s side, even if it meant our own destruction," writes @amyremeikis.bsky.social.

Emails reveal that Woodside Energy cosied up with a senior official in the Department of Climate Change, Energy, Environment and Water to weaken proposed emission monitoring conditions and align public messaging for the North West Shelf development in WA. See for yourself ⬇️

Holy hell. Hundred Thousand Australians now stranded. Was our deputy sheriff Albanese not warned? Rhetorical question.
You know, State Department procedure is to help people leave _before_ hostilities begin. Trump/Rubio must have deliberately countermanded procedures, intentionally leaving Americans stranded. IOW it wasn't merely their incompetence but rather an actual decision.
Sierra Nevada mountains just north of LA, CA, USA. Jagged snow covered peaks rise above green trees and a yellowish plain. A small blue lake peeks around a bend.

Here's @lucyham.bsky.social with a great piece of research about the local right-wing establishment social engineering operation occurring of late.

🧶👵’s with ecosystem scientists and researchers in the NSW Royal National Park learning why this peat swamp that ensures clean, safe water for thousands of people and wildlife is no place for further Peabody Energy coal mining.

Sydney Knitting Nannas in the Wild - find coal on CleanUp Australia Day in the Royal National Park Swamps threatened by Peabody Coal’s long wall mining.
Coal production in NSW is predicted to fall by up to 51% by 2035. The regional communities that rely heavily on coal must not be left in the lurch by the state government knittingnannas.org/2026/03/02/a...
"Thinking through the implications of 4C warming shows that the impacts are so significant that the only real adaptation strategy is to avoid that at all cost because of the pain & suffering that is going to cost. There is no science on how we are going to adapt to 4C warming" @neiladger.bsky.social
“As discussed in our meeting with the minister yesterday we received your revised document with highlighted mark-ups on Sunday and note some of the conditions that we had previously advised as needing change have not been addressed,” the Woodside official wrote."

There are many towns throughout Australia that would love to build their own community batteries. Wild that the Narrabri council willingly killed this off by spreading misinformation www.abc.net.au/news/2026-02...
