An enormous thanks to all of the organisations who were part of yesterday's campaign including Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children NHS Foundation Trust Rosamund Adoo-Kissi-Debrah CBE Jemima Hartshorn Mums for Lungs Health Equals Ride for their Lives Dr Camilla Kingdon and Global Action Plan
www.globalactionplan.org.uk/clean-air/th... the letter calls for the UK government to adopt WHO air quality guidelines and to ensure clean air is central to DHSCβs preventative health mission.
Yesterday representatives from across the health sector and clean air movement walked and wheeled from Great Ormond Street Hospital to parliament. The group delivered a letter signed by over 450 health sector representatives calling for urgent action to clean up our air for Clean Air Day

UK air pollution is killing more than 500 people a week. This is why health professionals across the country from Manchester, Birmingham, London, Southampton and Brighton, are coming out today to call on the UK Government for more action to clean up our air. www.theguardian.com/environment/...
β¦and if you agree...perhaps remind the Mayor of London that it's time to expand this approach across Soho and the West End (with cycling provision too!)
A reminder...two more days (2nd May) to respond to the Oxford Street Transformation consultation. This is the current (miserable) state of affairs for what should be an iconic public space in the heart of our capital. If you get a minute, please respond to show your support lnkd.in/egzBcgNb
So sad to hear of the passing of Peter Kenyon, a man who influenced my politics significantly. He served on Labourβs NEC, was a councillor in Hackney and acted as Diane Abbottβs election agent. Professionally he had a long career as a journalist for Reuters.
Really excited to hear about the Integrated Care System Clean Air Framework to help heath care sector take action to secure cleaner air and a healthier future for their region.
Great work by @globalactionplan.bsky.social and team.

Does your city have one?
Transport Secretary Louise Haigh MP will publish an outline of her proposed Integrated Transport Strategy (ITS) on Thursday (tinyurl.com/34cu9k3v), exactly a week after the passing of the great John Prescott. Some thoughts on the need to avoid history repeating itself π§΅
Thanks! Apologies for being somewhat late to the party
