My new favourite bowl. I glazed some things last week at the studio, in an utterly abysmal state, I was wracked with anxiety. And there was barely enough of the teal in the bucket. So I just kinda went, fuck it, it’s all gonna show. And it does, and it turned out great imho

It’s just tape, no wax, and has more to do with the glaze than anything. This is another example, same clay body & glaze but probably thicker & quite different firing, not as clean (which I personally don’t mind at all).

Trying this thing where I do a progressive muscle relaxation then immediately eat a mint every day to try to Pavlov my own brain. Will report back

Just added to my online shop! A one-off mug. This is a lot of elements I’ve been fine tuning all coming together: the tape resist, the design, the glaze. I’ve opted to not cover in a clear gloss, leaving the texture so it’s really tactile. Glossy liner for the inside.

I sometimes have a weird but apparently harmless thing with my heart where some of it beats to a different rhythm. It’s VERY slow & thus unpleasant. They were like, eh maybe beta blockers, and bc anx we figured why not try. You’ll never guess what happens if I take one 🙄🙄🙄

Threw some mugs today. Have been doing a lot of decorating and not much throwing lately, because I’ve been so so anxious and throwing is a very still thing. So glad to have gotten back to it for a bit.
