Absolutely - all his guff about doing it for his family falls flat when it's clear he doesn't actually enjoy spending time with them and would rather take on Jesse as someone he can mentor/control
"Good" within limits - he's clearly always wanted Gretchen instead and seems to resent Skyler and Walt Jr, even if he hasn't done anything outright shitty to them before the show starts
This is a man who knows 1) how to be dril for the short video crowd, 2) that his audience will recognise it as tongue-in-cheek and 3) that it makes his actual bile easier to pass off as a bit
