I am exhausted.
Physically, mentally, emotionally... Spring break being next week might save me. Maybe. I might just be dealing with more of the same, just without feeling bad I'm flexing my time with work.

Another day, another medical office. Todayβs adventure: antibiotic infusion!
Sometimes. But this woman didn't even try. She yelled, "oh no!" when she lost control of them... so she knew they were aggressive.
I do frequently say, "he's very friendly if you want to say hi!" about Brocc bc he has to wear a muzzle outside so he doesn't eat things and people assume he bites. :(
Pro-tip, if your dogs are aggressive and you can't control them when they TORPEDO at another dog, you shouldn't be walking them together. But also if your two dogs just viciously attack another dog that doesn't even try to fight back, maybe you shouldn't tell the other owner to "calm down" afterward
Hey, so
Can we stop getting mad when a dev 'abandons' a completely finished, complete package of a game?
Not every game should be a 'forever' game.
Sometimes a complete package with a defined beginning, middle, and end is the better outcome
I just want to enjoy good games from passionate devs

Only time will tell, but I'm hopeful!
I swear, if I NEVER see the inside of the hospital ever again, it will be too soon.
Home again tonight after my little ~staycation in the hospital.
.... next time he does it, link it back to him and say nothing more.
Itβs not just the boomers @vermilionnova.bsky.social works with, apparently!
kill the imposter syndrome in you head because not only is there someone out there doing it worse than you, they're also using chat gpt to do it
Anyways.
There is a special place in hell reserved for people who sit down directly next to you in a waiting room when there is an entire. Open. Room. In front of you.
And now, out of the blue, my leg is warm to the touch and shooting pain all up it again. I just want to be done with this; I don't want to have to go back to the hospital again. :(((

A quiet, but good, birthday. Not how I imagined I'd be rolling into a new decade by any stretch of the imagination, but I'll take it. I heard from / spent time with the people who matter.
And for the third year in a row, my own father seems to have forgotten I exist. Which, I guess is also fine?
Morning.
So far the plans:
-- No work Friday (but still PT)
-- Watching S4 of GoT with my favorite person
-- Long-standing DevTime with friends on Saturday
-- Ordering Crumbl
-- Take out on Sunday
-- Scream 7 on Monday afternoon after teaching
But hey, my birthday is in a week from today. I'm taking Friday off to celebrate (I teach on Mondays, so I can't take the actual day off, sadly), and trying to figure out what else to do to celebrate, since I won't be on a ship like I want to be.
I can't tell if it's the normal February-in-education doldrums, the fact that I'm frustrated at not being fully back to "normal" physical ability yet, that is is STILL IN THE THIRTIES HERE DAILY, or if I am just super, super burnt out, but I cannot motivate myself for work at. all. right now.
A screenshot of a phone notification from the NWS saying there is a freeze watch near my location (Florida) by 3am on 24 February.
What. The. Actual. Fuck.
My birthday's in like, a week and a half and I'm still bummed I won't be on the Holiday From Real Cruise, even if I know realistically, I wouldn't even be able to walk from my cabin to the lounges multiple times a day, let alone dance / jump at multiple concerts over a weekend.
HUGE NEWS: Just announced in a @forbes.com exclusive, @stephenking.bsky.social has written an introduction for @natcassidy.bsky.social's I KNOW A PLACE! π

Man, I used to LOVE reading those in middle school whenever I could get my hands on them!
Didn't mean to alarm anyone. I just don't want to deal with the world or anything in it. That's all.
If just... not existing were an option, I would take it.
I think today is just not my day.
OH GOD. How the heck did they even ATTEMPT that without demons?!
lmao, I have neither seen nor read DOOM, but this does sound pretty comparable in terms of terrible choices made.
The Wuthering Heights movie was certainly an adaptation of all time.

The cover of Roll Play is pink, with a hand-written title, and an illustration of the two main characters--a tall, slender man and a plus-size woman--embracing.
RPG enthusiast, Malcolm, has to prove he can step up and play the role of Dad if he wants to win back the heart of single mom, Evan.
ROLL PLAY, the second book in my series of interconnected standalone romantic comedies about gamers, is out now in ebook, paperback, and on KU!
