One day, 20 years down the road, I will leave the room just before his cameo in “Home Alone 2: Lost in New York,” and I will do so with a smile on my face, knowing that I won’t have to avoid hearing his stupid, stupid voice for another full year.

It’s been 10 years since the beginning of this debacle and the DNC *still* doesn’t understand what they’re dealing with. Completely tone-deaf.
As of this moment? I actually feel like our local school system is doing a good job. But the headlines this morning are “Trump prepares executive order to formally disband department of education,” so who knows what happens when the org. Responsible for funding and enforcing the IDEA act is gone?
Not that I need MGP to take the time to personally answer every call and email she gets, but they sent it because it was the closest thing they had to addressing what I called about.
And it was WAY off the mark. It makes me feel like the most pressing concerns aren’t even on the radar.
I called to express my disquiet about the dismantling about the department of education. My daughter is autistic and on an IEP, and I need my representatives to defend her right to go to school.
I got back a form letter about how much she values education, that didn’t address and of my concerns.
Notice all of her messaging focuses on what she did in the past. What is she doing NOW? What are her plans for 90 days from now when we're in a recession? This is the bullshit she emails me, her constituent, when I ask for a town hall.
Trump/Musk’s definition of waste is “anything that doesn’t benefit them personally.”
Medical care for the poor? Waste. SS benefits? A Ponzi scheme. Nat’l parks? Waste. Food stamps? Waste.
Literal Scrooge stuff. “If the poor are going to die they should do it, and decrease the surplus population.”
MGP, I voted for you twice. But these posts make it seem like you’re sipping your coffee as the house burns down around you. Around all of us. We are relying on you to fight like HELL for SW WA, and for American democracy as a whole. There is no “business as usual.” Fight like hell for us. Please.
