I'm so fucking tired.
I seem to remember being inordinately proud to be started on olive in one particular year...
!!!
You know what suddenly popped into my head? SRA CARDS! Did anyone else do these at primary school?
You're very kind, and right back at you!
Thank you, Ellie β€οΈ
For context, Iβm never very up to minute. Just listened to and adored The Year We Fell Down by Sarina Bowen. So good
Been getting a lot of cold emails about marketing and selling recently. Am I alone?
Honestly, the amount of pleasure I get from eating and drinking nice things is extraordinary. It's an embarrassingly large proportion of my overall happiness. Today: iced raspberry bun (so good), too much (arguably) horseradish in a pastrami sandwich (my nose!) and a fab Cava (so cheap! So good!)
Coming soon: a special print edition of all the David & Murdo books/stories with specially commissioned artwork. Subscribe to my newsletter if you want to know more and to register interest (some options will be limited availability): tinyurl.com/joannachambe...

There's more community on GR, and that probably tends to prompt more conversation. I feel like, with Amazon, a reader needs a reason to review eg you got a ARC or you feel sufficiently strongly one way or the other, whereas, with GR, you might feel driven to review after chatting with your friends
Just finished the audiobook of Sarina Bowen and Elle Kennedy's The Last Guy on Earth, which I relished every minute of. So much to enjoy. Great narration too. (Also, random observation but I β€οΈ the way JF Harding says "else" (elts))
Also Iβm not making it easy for myself with the character arcs and dynamics Iβm going withβ¦
It will be this year, and it will be as soon as I can get it finished. Itβs going well but this last 18 months has been hard going in terms of writing time.
Thank you so much @novelniche.bsky.social β€οΈ
Not sure what happened there. Whole evening eaten up with updating welcome emails for my newsletter. P.r.o.c.r.a.s.t.i.n.a.t.i.o.n?
And open, frank, honest. Unfiltered but also civil.
Thoughtful and smart book reviews followed by thoughtful and smart comment rounds that sometimes ran for days
So many (and better) conversations than are even possible on social media
