Attacks on trans women are attacks on women. I'm not sure why we don't see this. It will affect us on all levels of society. I will not have my womanhood policed, nor will I have others policed. Why do we not see this? Why do I even have to post that cis women are affected for cis women to care?

FYI: Lamarr created a radio system that utilized frequency hopping to prevent radio jamming in ww2. Its principles are still utilized today (wifi, Bluetooth, etc.)

The funniest part is when the blue sky team announced something dumb and the entire community's reaction en masse is that it's dumb and bluesky just pretends like it's not seeing any of that until one of the team members has a crashout from the stress of pretending to be eternally correct

tl;dr: Bluesky began with genuine promise: a new social media platform where users could feel safer, but inconsistent moderation quickly eroded trust.

When systemically marginalized users pushed back, Bluesky’s leadership minimized concerns and began to target them for bans.

UNTIL IT’S DONE, Ep. 4: Sylvia Rivera

In the 1970s, queer New Yorkers had been pushed to the margins of NYC. Our trans neighbors faced immense cruelty. But in Sylvia Rivera, they found a champion.

As we combat Trump’s politics of darkness, her legacy can light the path forward.

This article is an excellent overview of how Bluesky’s leadership continues to mishandle opportunities for improvement.

I genuinely hope that Bluesky’s exec team takes the time to practice introspection & self-crit.

It’s not too late to correct course, folks.

It doesn’t only affect California. California was the only state allowed to issue its own emission standards; 13 other states plus DC have signed on to California’s standards- all impacted by this legislation
