If you haven't checked out Trollbreath 7 yet, there's an amazing story by Amy Kitcher, right before mine, "The Messenger of Budapest" about a pigeon who brings messages back and forth between sentient statues in Budapest. Deep work on memory, resistance & history.

Not sure how this image came up on my YouTube algorithm for a music playlist.

But whatever it is, I’m all for it. I think this is kind of the vibe of a lot of my stories.

A very personal story for me. It's about my time in college and an amazing group of friends who were convinced we could radically change the world for the better. Twenty years later, I wish more people had the kinds of utopian dreams we did, even if naive. The world might've looked different.

New slipstream/horrorish story out: "Istanai."

A young man searches for his dead girlfriend in TV static and psychedelic realms, guided by her theory that consciousness survives death and that the universe longs for revolution. When should we let go of utopias, if ever?

I've enjoyed your stories that have made it through that gauntlet! Good reminder for me when I'm down on the constant stream of Rs to keep going.

In case you couldn’t tell from the title, it’s full of weird horror.

One of my absolute favorite magazines out today.

I grew up on Star Trek the next generation, but after watching the entire Deep Space 9, it made me a convert. Best Star Trek series for the depth of the characters, the moral complexity, and the darkness of the plot.

I appreciate that so much!! I’m so honored when people take the time to not only read my story, but let me know it resonated with them.

Can we also add Emily Dickinson as an undercurrent of weird poetry while we’re at it?

I don’t like typing on the phone either, but I do sometimes dictate notes. Have you tried that? I use an app called Obsidian. You can always go back and clean up spelling or things that didn’t catch later. Also, thanks for the follow! I’m team Petrichor as well.

Check out my story "Fool's Gold" (48:00) in the latest NSP, about hauntings, controlling relationships, and cryogenically frozen organs.

Andrew Kozma's "You Must Cut it From You" is right after! @andrewkozma.net

Thanks to Sarah Thomas and Jeff Clement for bringing it to life with their voices!!

How AI Data Centers Will Break America (Like 2008) YouTube video by GEN

Really interesting parallels here between the 2008 housing crisis and mortgage back securities and some of the financial mechanisms being created in the wake of data centers and the AI boom. Anyone taking bets on when the crash is coming?

Thanks to @tenebrouspress.bsky.social for choosing it, and @seizethepress.bsky.social for publishing it last year.

Should be a great anthology!
