Mid-January weather in southern Sweden is a mix of cold, humid & miserable. To escape it I’m heading to Gothenburg for much awaited FUDEM workshop on ”Envisioning (Un)democratic futures”. Not sure abt. better weather but I count on warm & enlightening intellectual conversations

In the Nordics, we're quite worried about what's next, in particular for Greenland. Some of that is directed as a concern for the prime minister of Denmark - however, with Denmark having elections this year, I am also concerned for electoral integrity, Danish democracy and the risks of interference.

A final push before enjoying le weekend in Paris. No snow in sight but pretty crisp.

Midway in my research stay at @sciencespo-cee.bsky.social I have the privilege to present my ongoing attempt to bring an intersectional perspective to canonic approaches of radical right populism.

A super short visit over the bridge to Roskilde university. It was actually the second time ever to visit the campus. I had a generative discussion abt. right-wing populism, retrogressive conservatism as alternative Europeanization process & how a gendered perspective provides a new research agenda.

Really thankful for having the opportunity to be part of the IAB of this fantastic project which brings together dedicated scholars, practitioners and artists co-creating knowledge. Also for being invited to share my thoughts on these pressing issues.

Paris has been extremely generous with its sights this past month. The surprisingly good weather has allowed me to take long walks discovering both the touristy and less touristy corners of the city.

Postdoctoral researcher in Gender Studies The Department of Gender Studies is an interdisciplinary unit within a larger division together with Sociology and Social Anthropology, situated at the Faculty of Social Sciences at Lund University. W

📣 2 yrs postdoc w/in project Gender Struggles in the New Conjuncture - investigates a selection of anti-gender networks & feminist LGBTQI+ networks in 5 European regions. Experience w/h ethnography/ digital network analysis & deep knowledge of language & sociopolitical contexts in Southern Europe.

The excellent work of editors @albertagiorgi.bsky.social & Hande Eslen-Ziya is bearing fruit, & this edited volume is soon available at a most needed time. In chapter w/h colleagues from Norway Iris B Segers & Charles M Ess we put in perspective institutional ethical challenges in online research

Results need be understood in a context of intense hybrid warfare from Kremlin-supported entities & dedicated counter-mobilization. Blocul Patriotic (bitter irony, their name appealing to patriotism) plans on following 🇷🇴 scenario of contesting electoral results & organizing demonstrations. Last 4/

However in 2 regions w/h other ethnic majorities than Romanian speaking Moldovans the situation is different. Blocul Patriotic received a significant majority (82,35%) in Gagauzia autonomous unit & a majority (51%) among those voting from Transdniestr. 3/

Regional differences picture a more complex picture. In capital Chișinău PAS received a clearer majority (52,68%) w/h Blocul Patriotic slightly lower (21,26%) than at national level. 2/
