Lesbian and gay party leaders receive lower leadership evaluations than straight leaders in the UK, and the effects are consistent across genders. Interesting yet discouraging findings in our BJPS paper. @josephfcozza.bsky.social @gdilandro.bsky.social Andrea Aldrich @utgovernment.bsky.social

One last honor for the road! Always happy to support my students in any way I can
As a scholar, teacher, mentor, and community leader, Bob was always incredibly smart, funny, and, most importantly, kind. He was one of my biggest champions from the moment I arrived at Rice. A huge loss for the discipline and the Rice community ๐
Iโm particularly grateful for all of my amazing students, for the leadership of @bashleyleeds.bsky.social and @racheltk.bsky.social, and for the mentorship of Randy Stevenson. I'm also glad to have met wonderful friends, like @jkaslovsky.bsky.social and my co-author @gdilandro.bsky.social!
After three wonderful years, today is my last day at @ricepolisci.bsky.social. Iโm so grateful for this amazing experience, which helped make me a better teacher and scholar. I couldn't have asked for a better place to launch my academic career!
Thank you for everything you've done for me, the department, and the students! Your leadership, mentorship, and support have meant a great deal to me as I started out my academic career!
End of an era ๐ฆ
