Decoder is also an overlooked film, I just love the post-apocalyptic sci-fi noir-city aesthetics.
The Grid also had a lot of tracks that could fit on an ambient house mix (they even have an Orb remix of Crystal Clear)
It's Bandcamp Friday so I'm posting this. If you like trippy acid house / techno mixed with African percussion music, check out my latest album.

...optimistic and hopeful vision of what we thought the future was going to be like as a form of escapism and also with some dark and gritty tones representing the dystopian future we're currently facing in reality. (2/2)
So for my future music projects as Galactic Radio, my goal to create a continuous theme involving "futurist optimism" where the music combines atmospheric and dreamy tones reflecting the retro-futuristic visual artworks from the past decades representing the...(1/2)

Next week on July 11, my album Cosmic Environments will be released on my Bandcamp page
For all you acid house, breakbeat, ambient music, and psychedelia music fans out there: I've worked on an album called Cosmic Environments featuring sounds ranging from trippy synth textures, various African instruments, nature recordings, and old school drum breaks. It will be released on July 11.
Itβs a voyage exploring the diverse sonic landscapes while maintaining a flow transitioning between club-friendly tracks and more abstract, surreal, and immersive soundscapes.
......as well as African percussions, flutes, and guitars mixed in with some hypnotic synthesizers, sampling, bass-boosted drum machines, and funky breakbeat drum loops.
This album will also be structured as a concept album with a narrative giving a visual representation of the listener going on a journey to a psychedelic rave in an African rainforest filled with sounds ranging from birds, frogs, crickets, flowing water......
It ranges from different genres such as acid house, techno, breakbeat, hip-hop, dub, African music, psychedelica, and ambient music as a practice of arranging environments for harmony, atmosphere, and energy flow.
This will officially be considered a stepping stone for the kind of music that will be under my Galactic Radio alias, which will feature a mixture of many influences that helped shape the way how I make music.
Iβm here to announce some updated news about this album Iβm working on called βCosmic Environments". It will be released as a free βdigital demo releaseβ on my Bandcamp page on July 11.
As a sci-fi fan, it pains me that we get a Tron movie where Nine Inch Nails is doing the soundtrack, and then Jared Leto has to ruin everything by existing
Here's a new track I made and it's one of my more experimental works. It's a psychedelic blend of jazz, industrial, and dub.
Heavily inspired by the works of Coil, Trent Reznor, and Throbbing Gristle.

I feel like we need to bring back that whole "retro Jetsons-influenced utopia futurism" aesthetic in sci-fi media again as a form of escapism from the dystopian futurism we're living in today
And this other track is a more darker and energetic track with a more cyberpunk edge inspired by Koji Morimoto anime artwork featuring distorted synths and heavier breakbeats

I've been fixing of some of my older music and decided to re-upload two tracks I made a while ago:
This one is a light-hearted and melodic psychedelic sci-fi themed track that captures the aesthetics of vintage computers and sci-fi movies/games in the 80s and 90s

It's pretty wild how a simple acid techno jam ended up on one of the most influential complication albums in electronic music history, which adds to that raw authenticity.
It's mostly an ambient house album with a flavor of energetic beats, African percussion music, and progressive dance music heavily inspired by the DJ mixes from the Sasha & John Digweed era.
I've been working on a narrative for my "Cosmic Environments" album project where the synopsis is to imagine yourself inside a psychedelic rave located in some African rainforest / savanna from dusk till dawn and all the sounds you hear range from nature sounds, surreal SFX, and ofc dance music.
