At the same time, someone can do everything a parent does and still choose not to identify as oneβlike an aunt raising her siblingβs child who still calls herself an aunt, not a mother.
It would be incredibly rude to tell an adoptive parent, "Youβre not their real parent, right?" They already know their relationship to their child. Youβre not informing themβyouβre just being a jerk.
imagine how weird it would be if they introduced themselves at a parent-teacher conference by saying, "Just so you know, I'm not their biological parent."
Why? Because parenting is about fulfilling the roles and responsibilities of raising a child, not just biology. We donβt expect adoptive parents to constantly clarify their statusβ

We all have two biological parents who contributed to our genetic makeup. But we also recognize adoptive parents as real parents, even though they arenβt biologically related to their children.

Got road rage? start telling yourself everyone driving fast is just trying to get home to use the bathroom. It's just as, if not more than likely then someone being mean.
Why do we need an objective purpose? does any other animal?
