Sure you do, bud. If the judge accepts the lie, you might keep your law license.

Whew. DOJ attorney, under oath in his own show cause hearing, says "I did not intend to deceive..." when the judge pretty clearly knows, over the course of numerous motions/briefs, that he did.

From Abraham Lincoln to… Donald Trump?
A history of the Republican Party – Part I: From anti-slavery origins to white conservative domination, 1850s to 1990.
My new piece:
Stop yelling at us and go talk to your family, friends, and neighbors.
I think it's important to point out the rest of the world knows we're a major petro state who just started a record breaking amount of drilling contracts and that not only is this kind of action horrifyingly cruel, it's also to raise the price of our own oil for sale in the chaos for profit.
this is not incidental!
to be a liberal/pluralist of any kind requires accepting that other people will see things differently than you do and that you have no sanctified monopoly on the One Truth.
this is what illiberals hate about liberalism. it’s the starting point for many.
😂
😂😱😂
Historians looking back on the 2026 midterms and trying to explain how the Democrats managed to thrash Republicans will point to many causes—but let me suggest that they should pay attention to these two words right here:
"I guess."
Go, Go, GO!
He won't stop until he is stopped. To think about the 20 & fewer individuals who know they could and don't. No hell hot enough.
I’m a hard pass on the whole Armageddon thing.
This is the stuff of many people, in many places, but most definitely of many here in the US. It's produced incredibly intimate ties, food, art, and literature. I think a lot of us who aren't connected directly to diaspora envy that stuff (if not the pain that bore it).
Wonder if Corey gets fired with her…
Yes, yes, & yes. The young people will win.
I keep thinking about voter intimidation. People may not want to go to a dropbox or fear they need a passport, so they won't vote at all. I feel like we need to start training for ballot collection or make Know Your Rights cards, election style.
And don't come at me w/ "midterms aren't happening".
Ros Atkins doing what he does best, and BBC news should do more often
"“We rely on Hispanic labor,” said Chris Gross, a second-generation farmer who grows sweet corn seed and mint in Wilder. She added, “Nobody thought something like this could happen here.”"
I've posted about this before but I just looked up this article for something I'm working on and I cannot deal with this - the quote, or the way it's presented without direct follow-up or context.
What does "Hispanic labor" mean?

Try it with a squeeze of lemon & spoonful of honey (you may need to heat the honey a bit to dissolve in the kefir). Delish.
Heather Cox Richardson tried to explain this yesterday, I think, saying DHS parsing hairs because "terrorist" has narrow legal definition while "engaged in terrorism" has expansive one DHS/State gets to define & use to target US & foreign persons, ie "obstruction" = "terrorism"
Wouldn't this kind of passion from GOP Senators who *aren't* retiring be a net positive for them? I mean, maybe not in Idaho or FL, but pretty much anywhere else? Damn.
The WH didn't like the news cycle so impulsively ordered them to reverse course. Once the next squirrel pokes its head out of a tree & counsel reminds demented-Barbie how DOJ will lose the case on the merits anyway they'll move to voluntarily dismiss again...
The judge should just deny it & force DOJ's lawyers to appeal (the order denying them leave to voluntarily withdraw their motion to voluntarily dismiss their action)...
This is always how the "they'll greet us as liberators" canard goes...
