Hey guys, I’m not doing great, anyone want to share some OC facts? Maybe some of your favorite OC dynamics and why you love them?
Hearing people talk about things they’re passionate about always cheers me up a bit.
Cover for the first volume of my Out of Memory comic. It features Kurosawa Makoto (黒澤 誠, "sincere black marsh") / Zhen Xinyi (真 心意, multiple meanings) and Baiqiao Yaoshe (白橋 妖蛇, “demonic snake of the white bridge”). The two characters are lying in a lotus pond, with Makoto lying on the surface and Yao being partially submerged. Makoto is wearing light fantasy armor with a subtle crow theme. He’s covering part of his face with his left hand, and a single tear is streaming down his face. Yao is wearing a regal black robe that resembles traditional Chinese attire. He is wearing snake-themed jewelry and light shoulder armor. He has an unreadable smile on his face, and his gaze is turned towards Makoto.
Series cover for my Out of Memory webcomic. It features Kurosawa Makoto (黒澤 誠, "sincere black marsh") / Zhen Xinyi (真 心意, multiple meanings), one of the main protagonists in Out of Memory, facing off against one of the main antagonists, Baiqiao Yaoshe (白橋 妖蛇, “demonic snake of the white bridge”). A warrior with reality-warping powers, Xinyi is a pacifist who sees violence as a last resort. Yao, on the other hand, is a charming and manipulative prince who can be ruthless towards his enemies. Xinyi and Yao have a complex relationship that departs from the standard hero - villain dynamic.
I hope you feel better soon 🫂💕
My favorite dynamic is the one between Xinyi and Yao, the main protagonist and one of the main villains. The labels are deceptive as there is no real animosity between them (yet) - they have a friendly relationship and collaborate / conspire on a regular basis 😆.
I think the biggest damage to the art community was the obsolescence of gallery sites (y!, deviantart, etc) and the rise of scroll-by social media, like twitter and even tumblr. Art is not ''content'', you shouldnt need to post art every day (or every month!) to be relevant. This mindset sucks.
Thank you~ I'm glad you think so 😁
The bird is cute at least on the outside 🤣
Digital illustration of a fairy holding a crystal
Ink and colored pencil illustration of a knight holding a magic lighting sword
Congrats on your 1.3K!! 🥳
May I humbly offer some of my fantasy art. ✨️
Thank you for the tag 💜
Both illustrations look fantastic, I love the effects & lighting~
Mostly pink with a blue background and cyan outlines. Features a drow riding the back of a heavy set chimera man, pointing his finger towards the camera. He has a pouty expression. The Chimera has a big grin and his hairy arms crossed. The drow is wearing a small shrunken drow head on his belt. The text reads: Woofnoble 1.3k Follower Share

Full color digital art illustration with a detailed background (actually a comic page) from my Out of Memory webcomic. It is a dark fantasy and horror comic (with a tiny slice of sci-fi) about a pacifistic warrior and his journey to find the truth about his family. The drawing depicts the morally ambiguous character "Yaoshe Baiqiao" (aka. "Yao") sitting leisurely in a traditional Chinese-style room. He is an influential politician and schemer who appears to be allied with the main protagonist. He is an elegant bishie (pretty boy) who appears to be in his late twenties or early thirties, with long, curly medium purple hair that extends past his shoulders and pink eyes with white pupils. He is wearing an elaborate red and purple outfit that resembles traditional Chinese hanfu and is holding a pipe that is shaped like a serpent's head in his right hand. Yao’s outfit is extremely expensive and is decorated with a good amount of gold and gemstones. His boots and sash are especially elaborate and have large, teardrop-shaped rubies embedded in them. Yao has an enigmatic smile on his face. A large wisp of pink smoke can be seen emanating from the mouth of the pipe. Created using Clip Studio Paint.

Cover for Out of Memory - Chapter 5. It features Makoto Kurosawa (real name: Zhen Xinyi) sitting in a well-lit deck with Chinese-style windows, enjoying afternoon tea and snacks. The deck is several stories above ground, as the sky and the upper branches of a tree are all that’s visible through the open windows. In one of the panels, crows are shown flying in the sky. Makoto is sitting at a wooden table. Both the table and the bench he’s sitting on have matching hand-carved decorations. He’s holding a teacup in his gloved right hand, and his left hand is partially hidden by the objects on the table. On top of the table is teapot and a plate of what seems to resemble real-life rice balls. His long bangs are covering his eyes, hiding most of his expression. Makoto is wearing a fantasy version of traditional East Asian attire. Even if his outfit were drawn in full color, it would all be different shades of black and white. The collar of his outfit covers most of his neck and ends just below his chin. His long, white cape starts at the base of the collar and extends almost all the way to the ground. Since Makoto is sitting, a good portion of the cape is tucked away and to the side. Dialog: ???: Makoto. Heap is in imminent danger of being overrun. Makoto: I see.
From the Out of Memory - Prologue. Princess Sheng Feng is shown falling from a great height, as the building she was hiding in is shown crumbling in the background. The brooch she wears at her waist emits a powerful light. Shortly after, a small white phoenix emerges from the brooch, and Sheng Feng reaches desperately for her. The phoenix grabs onto the back of Sheng Feng's collar, breaking her fall. They turn to face a large Chinese-style house, which has ominous wisps of smoke emanating from it.

Character profile / illustration from my Out of Memory comic. It features several major characters, paired with their enemy and/or rival. The top row feature “Makoto Kurosawa” / Zhen Xinyi and “Yaoshe Baiqiao.” Makoto is a man who appears to be in his twenties. He has blue hair and light blue-purple eyes, and is wearing a black sleeveless top with a hood. He is smiling and appears to be beckoning the viewer. A crow is sitting on his left shoulder, giving the audience a side-eye. “Yao” is a pale man who appears to be the same age as Makoto. He has wavy purple hair and pink eyes with white pupils. He is wearing a dark red outfit that resembles a Chinese hanfu, and is wearing gold claws on his right hand. A large, purple serpent is shown behind him. The second row features "Gyoku Kurosawa" / Jade Scorpion and a villain whose name hasn’t been revealed. Gyoku is a dark-skinned man with wavy white hair and jade-green eyes with a ring around each pupil. He is wearing a black sleeveless top with gold trim and fancy shoulder-length gloves. Pinned to his cloak is a fancy, green and gold brooch that resembles a scorpion. He is looking to the side and appears downcast. The villain is a light-skinned man with black, pupil-less eyes and crimson hair tied in a ponytail. He's wearing a white blazer with gold trim and black faux fur. He is looking over his shoulder towards Gyoku (off-screen) and sports an ominous grin.

Thank you for doing this~ I'd love to join if there's still room!
Congrats ✨!
A collection of fantasy characters including several tieflings, a half-orc, a dwarf, halfling, two humans and several elves, with text reading: NPC Pack by Bex Read - 10 Character Designs and Story Hooks for Use in TTRPGs.
I've had a few orders again lately for my NPC pack - thank you so much! I haven't yet made another set because they take a long time to put together, but I would love to! Let me know if there's anything particular you'd like to see 👀

WIP drawing and lineart of Xinyi Zhen from Out of Memory. He is a beautiful man who appears to be in his twenties, with wavy chin-length hair and long bangs that extend past his eyes. He is wearing a tight top that emphasizes his toned abs. His right arm is covered in fancy armor while his left is covered in bandages. A crow (Corneille) is perched in his open right hand. Art drawn in Clip Studio Paint.
I wasn't in a comic-making mood, so I figured...why not re-attempt drawing Xinyi's abs ✨.
Three guesses who's next to him 😆.

Haha, getting Nils to show up is easy; convincing them not to attack during the showdown is the hard part 🤣
The chemistry on the page would be interesting, considering the two don't get along 😆
A very well-educated guess 😉

You are welcome 💕. I dislike large parts of my own comic lol, I think we're our own worst critics xD.
Published is better than perfect and you definitely have more going for your comic than aesthetics 😊.
P.S. I've read a couple of big name comics that have awkward pacing, shallow characterization and boring/cringey dialogue so 😅.
A graphic with a large yellow banner in the middle announcing "Live on Kickstarter! We've Always Been Here: A queer historical zine." The bottom text is in a rainbow gradient with little rainbows framing the box. Above this is a mockup of the book's cover alongside some page mockups, and the bottom half features three other illustration previews.

Indeed he is xD. He is part of the government, but because of him, turnover can be high 😂.
If he thinks a leader isn't fit to rule (and his standards are pretty high), he...makes sure that they get replaced 😅.
Happy you think so & you are welcome 😊!
That's a tough question...I like cute little mons like Espurr and Minccino but also the large / intimidating ones like Tyranitar, Giratina, and Rayquaza 😆.
Also any shiny that's one of my fave colors immediately has my attention xD.
Thank you so much 💕! Yeah, he's a manipulative schemer - he doesn't mess with civilians, but his political enemies are another story 😅.
