From your mouth to… oh, wait…
I agree he is given WAY too much airtime.
Because there are people who will believe it here. Sadly.
I’m curious to see how many people show up to be honest.
To be fair, they came for the books long before the dolls and pencils.
Nope.
Pierre Poilievre already had the Rogan crowd. He needed women and 55+men. Going on Rogan would have done him a disservice IMO.
Phew.
The sooner this ends….
So far so good.
(BTW: voter turnout in our election was only 68 ish percent so we are not any better).
We almost voted for a turd and by the grace of my God we managed to dodge that bullet. I’m not in any way saying Canada is better than the US. All I am saying is people have to vote. It’s really important to participate in democracy because it is not a given.
Perhaps if your president stopped threatening sovereign nations that could be a starting point. Also, I will enjoy my syrup and Carney. Thanks.
Perhaps.
This isn’t about blaming and shaming but the reality everyone is living right now is a direct result of how and if people voted in the last election. Voting matters and every vote really, really does count. If any lessons should be taken from this current circumstance, it is this.
People made choices on that day that absolutely changed the trajectory of your country’s destiny (and the world’s).
The thing is, it was a functioning up until January 20th 2025. It was a functioning democracy on November 5th 2024. I’m not saying it was perfect of course (none are) but well, well, within the definition of democracy.
The fact that 1/3 of eligible voters didn’t bother to show up isn’t the argument you think it is. Apathy is going to be the nail in the coffin.
I might add that he was impressive. Stark contrast to the current leader.
100%
Jason Kenny was auditioning for leadership on the CBC last night is my take.
He is, of course he is.
Interestingly, this is the first 51st state talk we have heard since the call though so…
I mean, nothing for a month. I suspect something happened on the call to shut him up.

I was listening to CBC’s Quirks and Quarks last weekend where they suggested that Covid infections cause cognitive decline (to paraphrase, we get stupider by 10% with each infection) and as I look around the world (wildly waves arms in all directions), I swear to my God it all makes sense now.
This actually made me cry. So good.
We are Canadian.

Naw, Columbian president was first.
Healthcare, education, housing.
I was surprised at how easy it was. Most of the items I typically buy are Made in Canada.
His appointment to the bank of Canada is non-partisan (in fact it was Harper that gave him the appointment) and not under control of the government. High profile position yes, but not inherently political.
