Oh hi...I'm back for that small data audience I haven't built. Why?
I'm back on the #SQLSaturday kick, and Raleigh has one this week. I'll be talking about Databricks basics for those moving or integrating with SQL Server. You'll get to see some of this in action! Might even insert a lame joke.
Soon I am turning 40, and I look back on how scattered this year was. A lot of autism work, including a board appointment, took up my time. Yet on the tech side, I was learning a lot more as I went deep down the Databricks well, and lakes in general. Whenever said we always learn wasn’t kidding.
Isn’t the first step “Fabric is just Databricks” to kick off the journey?
Not too late to make it a top 27 list!
I joined, and I didn’t say much since then. Let’s call it the “figuring out the platform” period.
Have to say that Bluesky has been nice enough so far, and it seems like people have figured out good ways to organize content as well.
First thing that came to mind?
Fabric is doing all it can to catch up to Databricks, and is striving differentiate from it.
I remember when I joined my industry community on TPFKAT over a decade ago due to #PASSDataSummit hype.
Now I finally joined here for that same reason. Didn’t realize how many folks migrated. Blue skies indeed.
