Side effect of two European road trips and a tour of Aus & NZ via Hong Kong and Singapore. I am way better at Geoguessr than I used to be. So I guess itβs South America next for me.

Seems a bit out of the way???
So long normal island, I'm off to Australia (and NZ, via Hong Kong)
I think I may fallen a tiny bit in love with Claude. But don't tell anyone, it'll destroy my rep.
When unchecked site search policies and AI go rogue. Also, Iβm not surprised.
Well. For a great many reasons that I may explain later, I am going to attempt another ultra marathon to raise money for Mind. Health and fitness levels have gone through the floor. I have a year to turn it round though. Wish me luck. www.justgiving.com/page/natalie...

I'm set in my ways I guess
I donβt think the SERPs are ok to be honest. In what universe are three random travel blogs a better result for βthings to do in Londonβ than VisitLondon and TimeOut. Be serious.
Something tells me it might not be the future after all.
Something it can't do. This is a relief actually.
Is it just me, or it GPT-5 kind of dull? Bring back unhinged sycophantic April 4o I say.
Human marketing consultant for hire. Can keep your secrets. Won't share them with the NYT like your favourite LLM.
I wonder if all the people using ChatGPT as a therapist know this is going on arstechnica.com/tech-policy/...
That whole site:chatgpt.com/share "hack" that is doing the rounds is making me despair of humanity. Look at what people put into that tool and what it spits out. If ChatGPT is genuinely set to overtake search engines as a source of information in the next few years, I think we're all in big trouble

Lost an evening rowing with Google Gemini about its perception of reality which was super productive π
Iβve just seen an ad for a degree in Content Creation and I say this as someone who thoroughly enjoyed their degree in Pop Music when it only incurred a fraction of the debt that undergraduate degrees rack up these days: now I have seen everything.
I keep trying to use it as a search engine, I really do. Mind you Google's not much better these days.
MerseySearch is back. Me, @jomarieoreilly.bsky.social and our colleague Polly V are hosting an SEO meetup in Liverpool with some exceptionally good speakers, talking about ethical use of AI in SEO. Tickets available here: www.ticketsource.co.uk/merseysearch...

Insanely good is right.
Just putting this out there because I find the gratitude thing does work. I have the best client list Iβve ever had at the moment, I am loving my work, long may it continue.

So⦠it depends?
Wondered if ChatGPT could be used to put an outfit together. Put my prejudices aside. Those links are to a set of out of stock swimming trunks, and a 404 page. Still not a search engine.
Bravo Lucy Bronze, what a hero www.bbc.com/sport/footba...
Yes. If they prioritise having a nice car. Works out at roughly 13% of that net salary.
