As a biracial BW who did grad school at a PWI I can really relate and empathize. I moved across the country to get away from my department and vowed to never become tt. I feel for my friends who are still junior scholars trying to make it, and to the women who have endured so much to become full

So good for her but such a damn shame to even have to go through that. The academy misses out on so much good brilliant talent.

If we all aired our grievances, everyone’s faves would be implicated. People think they know but they don’t. It is a horrible awful experience and I just send many hugs to all the other Black women who have experienced this. We are the only ones who really got us.

Are the arguments really based on “promises of ai” or is it just overmarketing to the point that we don’t question it

I love name dropping my community in conversations, & today it was @alexhanna.bsky.social/AI con, and the point was that we should be disrupting spaces that lean on the ”promises” of AI by revitalizing the option of refusal. Sometimes it takes just one person saying no when deciding on AI adoption

I was blessed today with community in the face of a really traumatic situation. And I really love God for that

Had a terrible day, on top of that I had a new caregiver today. She has been so gentle & sweet. Sat through a very traumatic IME appointment with me. She then shared her testimony with me and asked if she could worship with me. Y’all she started playing KIRK FRANKLIN. Whole south oc white lady!

I genuinely can’t handle everything going on right now I feel so sick from stress

i just dont know how to reconcile one talking about the harms of covid (and getting funding to do research on it), and yet not doing anything to prevent it in real-time and making the space inaccessible for many people with LC

i know the norm is not to be masked at events. but it is still so jarring and a bit triggering to see people at RECOVER conferences posing without masks on. not even trying to hide it is so bizarre to me. kinda sucks.
