Universe decided to punch me in the gut several times this week with an unplanned vet visit, a rejection from a previously promising job, and now I lost my keys!!!

In talking to friends who have been in the industry 2-3 times longer than I have, their best guess is that a lot of massive companies blew money on web3/NFT/metaverse shit that just straight-up vanished when that crashed, and they’re spinning it instead of coming clean

Feeling not so great lately. Can’t even get an interview… it’s really demoralizing. Things are getting tighter money-wise. Between job hunting and scrambling to list/sell things I’m so emotionally exhausted.

I applied to the screenwriter one twice, connected with the recruiter and everything, and got rejected both times without even talking to anyone. And I too have played the game constantly since launch! It’s tough…

I have had a few interviews but none that have led anywhere yet. I’ve had more luck just connecting with folks and them going “oh you might be good for x” than blindly applying, though! My current part time job doing QA for a dating sim came about that way (but it can’t pay the bills unfortunately).
