it was my first time watching it, and I thought it was really charming and very heartfelt.

Before I forget here is what I read in December.
I also watched some movies in 2025.
since it's new year's eve here were my favorite series I read in 2025.
And tomorrow I go to my mother's for the holidays and unfortunately my giant TBR stack just cannot come with me. So I shall get started on Nodame Cantabile from my 2026 TBR over my trip.
So because Luciole has a Dream doesn't (currently) have a release date for volume 2, I'm marking it off of my 2026 TBR. From my giant TBR stack I just finished the Heart of Thomas which was incredible, if you haven't read it, you should read it.
2026 TBR. (Though mermaid prince might still get read this year from my 2025 TBR, and that's because it's in my big reading stack.)
oh i'm not moving this over to 2026 π it's just bounced back to the waiting list to wait unfortunately.
I've already read Requiem of the Rose King.
I think this is probably going to be my last one off my 2025 list and I think for now I'm going to focus on reading my physicals and get a head start on my 2026 TBR.
etting caught up on Tonar wa Futsuu no Nijika (-chan) was really easy, there aren't too many chapters scanned yet. It is really cute though. With the few chapters I've read I'd say I'm currently at like a 9/10 for the series.
I would say smaller reading month for november EXCEPT I did finish oresama teacher which is a thousand volumes long.
Up next I'm reading Tonari wa Futsuu no Nijika (-chan).

eyebags = drug myself through it because it was just barely interesting enough

I finally, finally FINALLY finished oresama teacher. This series was so long and for no reason, if I'm going to be entirely honest. I would have dropped it except there was just enough of an interesting plot to keep curious to the end. I'm glad it's done.
I read the first volume like two years ago, then I got informed there was a prequel and I just got around to reading it.
Here's what manga I read in october!
Guess who actually managed to read some stuff in September. INCLUDING finishing TWO series from my TBR (and dropping another.)
Honestly, that the manga is as good as it is, is really a testament to her strength as a writer. Like that she was still able to make it really enjoyable speaks to her skill more than anything.

Okay I just finished Sakura-Hime. A really good read despite the fact that Tanemura really needed more space (and freedom) to do what she wanted with the series. If she'd been able to do what she wanted it'd be a stronger story but I still enjoyed it. Up next I'm reading Oresama Teacher
Tonight I'm going to finish Sakura-Hime. And frankly I think it's a testament to Tanemura's strength as a writer that this is as engaging as it is. There is a lot in it that could have and probably should have been developed more.
6/25 down.

First Drop of the year. Genuinely there was just nothing I was interested in, the romance bored me, the premise bored me, the only interesting character was the psychic best friend and she was barely in it. Up next I'm reading Sakura Hime: the Legend of Princess Sakura.
Probably no one in mainstream media is going to fully investigate/explain what groypers (and their divisions) are because itβs not in their interest to. I know about it from being a target due to their intersections with historical denialists on socials. rachelandthecity.substack.com/p/when-catch...

5/25 down. What is a TBR if not aspirational?

Finished Drowning Love. 1000/10, a masterpiece really. The art was incredible, the character's were so masterfully written, the story was so beautifully crafted. It really is as good as everyone says it is. Wish I could collect it physically. Next I'm reading ReRe: Hello
Honestly I generally prefer the show and the movie. The manga and movie are fairly close in major plot points.
I read some manga in August. Not a lot, but some.
