I do love a screen mod. Makes playing older consoles so much easier.

(I am not at all nostalgic for the days where you'd play handheld consoles street lamp to street lamp in the back of a car - getting weird Gameboy/Mortal Kombat flashbacks with that sentence)

Call for Participants: Research Study on Teaching at the Biology-Chemistry Interface
I am inviting educators to participate in a research study exploring how biology and chemistry are taught together: the β€˜biology-chemistry interface’. Insights from this study will inform the forthcoming book:
Bridging Chemistry and Biology: Integrative Approaches in Chemical Education
(Royal Society of Chemistry, forthcoming)

Who can take part?
β€’	Secondary school, post-16/college/sixth form, and higher education educators
β€’	Currently teaching, or have taught in the last 3 years, topics that involve both biology and chemistry
β€’	Aged 18 or over
What does participation involve?
β€’	Completing an anonymous online questionnaire
β€’	Takes approximately 10–15 minutes
β€’	You may skip any questions you do not wish to answer

I’m exploring how biology and chemistry are taught together, and I need your insight.

If you teach, or have recently taught, topics that connect biology and chemistry in secondary, post-16, or HE, please take part in my short, anonymous survey (10–15 minutes):

Your experience can help shape a forthcoming Royal Society of Chemistry book on teaching at the biology–chemistry interface.

The survey closes on 31 December 2025.

Please share this post so other educators can contribute too.

I know of others who use such tools in place of screen readers. They now have a way to interact with a document by not just reading it. These could be incredible tools to aid daily life

I think it depends on how it's used. I have really bad time blindness. It's about 5 minutes long so in a world when I'm constantly having to know or say how long things take me, I now have a tool that not only helps me, but also stops my anxiety from going to those really dark places

I was lucky enough to read early drafts of this book. I've also read the published version (which I bought so this isn't an ad!). It truly encapsulates Olle's ethos of science communication and the world.

If you have any interest in science or science communication, this is a great read!
