It really works! A year ago, I still had lots of FB friends posting AI "art". I was nicely talking to them about it at first, but nothing changed until I got mean about it. Zero AI in my feed now, and half those people have joined in being staunchly anti-AI. We gotta be mean!

Yes this. All the paid 'expert' pundits are still there, not here. And what keeps me feeling far more informed there rather than here is there's still a bunch of leftist shitposters there who can directly contradict what they say โ€“ and it's them who turn out to be right a few days/weeks later.

Dear Lucy
On the eve of the by-election, your Labour party spokesperson has admitted to the Huffington Post that a
Labour party leaflet has been delivered through doors with your imprint recommending a vote for Labour
by a tactical voting organisation which does not exist.
This is deeply troubling, it is actually lying to voters. Did you approve this? Do you feel the Labour Party
in government should be held to different standards in terms of honesty to the British public?
In your last letter to me you mentioned your โ€˜very extensive dataโ€™ and โ€˜having spoken to over a third of
eligible votersโ€™ which led you to an understanding that the by election โ€˜was a contest between labour and
Reformโ€™. Clearly this latest development only tells voters one thing - you will employ any type of
political deception (or in Urdu โ€œDhokaโ€ ) to win.
You will be very aware that all three real tactical voting organisations are recommending a vote for the
Greens as the best way to stop Reform. Lying to the voters, as you have been caught doing, raises the real
prospect that Reform will be the beneficiaries, something you have said that you donโ€™t want.
As this is such an important issue, for the sake of your own reputation, I would strongly urge you to
apologise to the voters of Denton and Gorton before the polls open in the morning.โ€
Kind regards,
Zack Polanski
Leader of the Green Party of England and Wales

Dear @lucympowell.bsky.social,

Why did you invent a fake tactical voting company to stop the Green Party beating Reform?

I'm starting to think your letters haven't always been in good faith...

Q: How would you improve the music industry?

A: Burn it to the ground and start again.
I would fire everybody in every major record label, every streaming [platform], every major company in the industry. I would get rid of everybody at the top. Let's start again and make practices ethical for the artists making the music.

I found this exchange on Twitter five years ago, no idea who either of them are but it remains the funniest thing I've ever seen on the site. There's SO much lore here.

I feel like you've neatly encapsulated there why the people who delight in saying "the grown-ups are back in charge" when it comes to things like politics are the people that should be listened to least. They're wearing a suit! They don't rock the boat! I'm so serious! It's all just vibes.

Same trick they're trying to pull in Gorton and Denton. Not because they think they can win it, but because they know a Green win means their vote will plummet nationally as a result.

Yes, all this. It's also worth noting that that picture of Mandelson sharing a nice birthday treat with the 21st Century's Most Notorious Sex Criminal was Googleable as early as 2019. Starmer โ€“ ultimately responsible for the UK's intelligence services โ€“ would absolutely, surely, have known enough.

It's pretty amazing to me the amount of shit that apparently you can Just Do as an NYC mayor. It makes basically every other American politician look like an incompetent loser.

What do you mean there was just a button that reversed wage theft? Why wasn't and isn't everyone hitting it all the time??
