New one from Greet Death who somehow embody all the best bits of the early nineties. A bit grunge, a bit gaze... and more than a bit good! @greetdeath.bsky.social
And Clem Burke - so distinctive. Did anyone not like Blondie? I doubt. Rest well.
A bit behind on my tributes. Dave Allen of the really rather underrated Gang Of Four, RIP Sir.

I believe it may be the big fella's birthday today. Happy birthday to Bella Union head honcho, Simon Raymonde.

Now I cannot shift a Drum n Bass version π
Those are such a great pairing, right there at the pivot. The segue from classic synthpop into reflective dreampop works really well. I've always liked that juxtaposition.
A wonderful review here of 'Answers On A Postcard' from @brettspaceman.bsky.social, who has taken a look at our debut album for [Sic] Magazine.
"Lyrically and thematically thereβs an βinner and outerβ dynamic at play. The results are heartfelt and melodic."

Check out my review for @skypatterns.bsky.social via the link here. Album drops today, which is, of course ,Bandcamp Friday.
Thanks for a lovely, intimate show. I was the tall (English) guy at the side. Sadly, I had to dash at the end. Hope you got a chance to explore Antwerp because it's beautiful. At least you saw the station!
www.sicmagazine.net/17748/stephe... I reviewed the latest album from Stephen Hero, aka Patrick from kitchens of Distinction. I really enjoyed it.
RIP Rick Buckler. The Jam were part of my school curriculum along with the two tone stuff. Not sure I'd rock that Sta Press look anymore, but Rick did.

These were my Albums of 2024. File under poor year, great music. Often the way!
Also, I have no clue how Blue Sky works! (as per usual) Can I tag these artists?

One of our writer top tens. We have discussed at length and decided there's little to no value in doing a magazine/consensus top albums, you know, where its the same as everyone elses, just re-sequenced. We go individually. This time it's Gavin Fearnley. #aoty

Here's sub Ed, Rob Gannons superb year round up. Be warned, he says, there isn't much 'happy'. I'll tell what there is "much". Terrific music! Great list from a teammate with his finger on the pulse. #aoty #album

New video created for a (slightly) older song by my friend Fred. One of my favourites from Blind this is BSL and Case My Mind @blackswanlane.bsky.social It's like a dreamy outtake from Vauxhall and I.
Thanks. I went to do so and one is already deleted :D
Thank you. One indeed has a 0 at the end of their name. i will look into lists. Appreciated.
Question. Fairly new here but I have already received chat messages from celebrity accounts where the sender is clearly an AI. Sorry to ask the obvious but should I unfollow those 'people' or could the user be legit and simply using an AI to admin their account? No Phish or social engineering btw

More Christmas larks. Here are perennial [sic] Mag darlings Black Swan Lane.
For fans of The Smiths, The Chameleons, Ride, ....
In many people eyes* albums aren't really a thing so its no really surprise that the actual year also isn't a thing. (*Not mine I hasten to add.) These lists amuse me greatly btw. 3 records I own and 97 parody acts. Same stuff, different sequence. Mine will just be 10 records that sound like 1983 :D
One of the only acts to ever come out of Chichester.
Lets get some (alternative) Christmas songs going. I reckon my old darlings Cocteau Twins could've scored a big radio hit with Wonderland/Frosty. Just needed a little push from someone. www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Vm9...
