How about we, as a nation, stop promoting a 2 party system? With only 2 parties it quickly becomes "us vs them". With more than 2 it's less likely that one party will be able to steamroll their way over the laws. It would force parties to compromise.

The biggest issue is the 2 party system. It breeds "us vs them". Then, when the same corps are allowed to pay off both parties, there's one.
The only real fix is to remove corp influence and increase the # of parties. But, seeing as how that would affect the power balance, I don't see it happening.
