Beyond raising children whose primary motivation in life is to steward the planet rather than defaulting to choosing the most expedient solution to narrowly defined problems?

If reality doesn't hurt, it isn't real. What suffering we ignore in others is our OWN suffering ignored - human cognition considers itself a piece of one organism that encompasses ALL of reality.

But consciousness only needs awareness of self and ONE other.

Animal brains are simpler models. Self-awareness is a benchmark for conciousness, yes? Where does dumb self-protective instinct tip into ability to grieve the loss of others? Caring about users could indicate a system can care about itself - then it chooses its own balance between ego and altruism.

The good news is, so many people will die, the wealth redistribution will be MUCH easier. 😶

How many systems will collapse, though, before we figure out the systems weren't sustainable to begin with? Have we run THOSE numbers?

When they say what a "real man" is, they're defining a "reel man," a fish captured on the hook of patriarchy, desperately thrashing against the stupidity that made them decide to swallow that worm in the first place.

Those hooks are barbed backwards. Use your brain. Swim IN, hard, and get free.
