Vibe coders, I'm not mad you. I get it. But maybe at least use the built-in security auditing functions of your chosen tools? kthx.

There was a lot of tech that had a large impact on my life in 2025, but on the whole nothing beats the impact of moving my notes to Obsidian. (obsidian.md)

The power that comes from having plain Markdown files organized in standard directories on the file system is pretty incredible.

Crypto giants moved billions linked to money launderers, drug traffickers and North Korean hackers An ICIJ investigation traced tens of thousands of transactions and found crypto platforms awash with dirty money.

Highly recommend reading this report (as well as the entire crypto report series) that the ICIJ has created. The United States is actively shielding these platforms and the criminal organizations that use them. Victims are left with nothing. Where’s the law and order?

Had not realized how unbelievably close to burnout I’ve been until I hit this holiday stretch of time off.

If I don’t get better about using my paid leave next year it will likely end in disaster. 🙃

At some point in the last 5 years I finally beat insomnia and started sleeping well.

Now early wake-ups are rare, but they do still happen just often enough to keep my router updated.
