We highly encourage submissions from joint/co-authored proposals, especially from those writing from precarious academic contexts, and we would like to create space for multiple participants to present their research together.

Highlighted quote in a journal article: Additionally, what is currently missing and urgently needed is "a critical, qualitative focus on the experiences of women street vendors, the gendering of vending spaces, and a socio-spatial analysis grounded in the Southern urban context" (Saxena, 2024: 2)

My first ever citation!! My paper on caste-gender & street vending was referenced in this interesting EPC article by Elmond Bandauko & Godwin Arku. Glad to see others also echoing the call for more intersectional perspectives on street geographies!

My read: "AI" is a fundamentally anti-worker technology

1) it demands de-skilling of workers for its long-term viability. White collar 'consumers' are asked to lower our standards and accept regurgitated slop as a substitute for the products of careful reading and synthesis.
