Jarvis
Our saving grace in this case may be that nobody cares about comics lol
There are other creators who you can argue deserve this treatment as well, but EVS in particular is simply beyond the pale. It's insane that ANY of his corporate comics work is in print.
It shouldn't be.
The man is a tumor who only subsists by poisoning the very industry that gave him a platform in the first place.
Sorry - toss that body of work into a black hole, it's not worth it.
Balancing a creator's noxious behavior with the popularity/importance (and I use the latter term VERY loosely) of his work is always going to be fraught, but I don't see any argument for not giving EVS specifically the Gerard Jones treatment at this point.
Unimaginably cursed evening.
What do they even DO??
Like they basically do everything but play "here comes this dumb loser" music every time she walks on screen lmao
The show truly hates her and I think you're right that it has to be someone's weird personal fixation.
It's such a fun book - easy to see its influence on Robert Kirkman.
Can't remember if it came up on the pod, but Rick Sheridan does show up in Invincible!
"Don't worry, no fruity stuff" is overwhelmingly the vibe I get.

On your Sleepy episode, either you or Bobby pointed out that 8 Ball is basically a Tick villain and that explains why I love him so much.
8 Ball and another guy I donโt know play pool while Crossbones enters a bar.
8 Ball sighting!!
The Avengersโ butler Jarvis has a shocked expression and covers his mouth with his fingers.
Oh Jarvis is queening OUT here.
Aw dang congrats!!
I saved lots of 70s fashion ads and found myself sketching Velma and Daphne (and Scooby, don't like him to have his ears cut off).
It's on desktop.
This is 10000% the most maddening thing about this place.

Cover to Archie Comics' Scooby Doo #1 drawn by Lee Weeks
I have recently become aware that Archie did a short-lived Scooby-Doo book in the 90s and the first issue features this gorgeous Lee Weeks cover.
Please enjoy.
An animated rat from Cat in the Hat
An animated rat from Cat in the Hat
An animated rat from Cat in the Hat
They showed the trailer for Cat in the Hat (which I fully thought came out like a year ago) last night and I really love the design of this rat.
That is all. Please enjoy him.
Panel from Archie comics where Archie & Veronica watch a Frankenstein type movie
Archie is scared and Veronica shushes him
I love the cartooning on the movie that Archie and Veronica watch. It almost looks like something from Mad Magazine.
Captain America by Ron Lim

This would also make a good tattoo.
Me, immediately after the end of King Kong (1933)
Poster for Morhra vs Godzilla from 1964
I really like this one because it looks very nice (all the men are dressed amazingly and have great hair) and is extremely weird.
Also Godzilla is just having an awful day. Humans wake him up and then they and Mothra spend 45 minutes beating him up while he looks increasingly harried - the end.
In a better world, this was a Sega Saturn game that flopped on release but today sealed copies would go for like $600.
We *finally* got ours to stop jumping off the bed, but you can occasionally see it in his face sometimes that he's about to try so we have to intervene lol
He also HATES being picked up.
