Exactly! As that would massively affect how I answer that question too.
The House of Lords Digital & Communications Committee just published their report on AI, copyright & the creative industries, and their conclusions could not be clearer.

Makes sense; often there is a lot more to it than these questions allow for an answer.
Yep, not all museums and theatres are the same. Itβs a too simplistic question.
Exactly! What type of show? What kind of museum? Because that will influence my answer so much more!
Non autistic people: "You don't speak for all autistic people" "My autistic nephew isn't like that" "Autism doesn't define you"
Also non autistic people: All autistic people prefer museums to theatres π§
For those unfamiliar, AQ is a controversial screening tool for autism assessments.
One of the questions asks if you prefer visiting museums or the theatre, and you score points for preferring museums on the screener.
So you know how many of us laugh at the βdo you prefer the museum or theatre?β question on the AQ.
Well, Iβve just realised that Iβve been on multiple theatre trips with groups of only autistic people but never for visiting museums π
Nope, tourism management.
I just about scraped through my English GCSE π
So I just had a call from my old uni for my undergraduate degree, wanting to know what Iβve done in the last ten years with it.
I just said I was busy as I didnβt think theyβd want an info dump on how I never really used the degree and itβs irrelevant to what Iβm doing now π
Sadly, these memes get more relevant every day.
It can be so hard to navigate at times!
Sorry to hear itβs affected you in similar ways too!
So true. I think this affected me more when I was younger and I didnβt have a choice who I was around.
Like you said, if they canβt understand, they are not your people!

Once there was a bland food option I could select in advance. Initially I thought it was great, but they gave no further details.
On the day it turned out that the regular option was better for my sensory needs than the bland food option I had specifically selected π€¦π»ββοΈπ
Sometimes the food on offer will be fine, and other times it wonβt be, and I can never really know until Iβm in the moment.
One of the hardest things I find to self-advocate for is sensory needs around food.
I have no other dietary needs or allergies, but when this question is asked, itβs hard to know how to respond and be understood.

This is what we need.
People who have actually been through the system, to hear from children. Where it worked and where it failed.
Not from βexpertsβ who want to hoist their opinions on others. Or those who have actually been political agenda.
Ooh a second arrest! Happy Monday to all!
Itβs an erosion of rights and protections that EHCPs provide for students whose needs are neglected by the mainstream.
Even if they make mainstream schools βmore inclusiveβ, it seems that disabled students would have fewer legal protections without an EHCP.
Going through education without the proper support has had a lifelong impact. The personal cost was so huge, and Iβm still paying the price for it in my 30s.
Itβs certainly cost the state a lot more in mental health care too. This isnβt cost-saving at all; itβs ideologically motivated.
This will harm so many children in the current system.
Using children as pawns up against each other based on perceived severity of need for scarce resources is barbaric.

This is when being disabled sucks.
