Creators who stand for justice, on the other hand, are being asked to expose brands that cut ties with them so those brands can be added to the boycott list.
Some creators remain silent but postpone their content schedules. Those who haven’t posted about the issue are facing backlash from their followers, with a list of their names circulating on social media for boycott.
Following the arrest of Istanbul Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, a boycott movement has emerged. Amidst all this, public attention is also on creators, once again highlighting how the creator economy is deeply embedded in national contexts.
