Well if #Mandelsob needs an American lawyer to go to that's one less suspected sex offender.

The Mandelson scandal explained and analysed.
Have written about how the Epstein files could yield one of the most serious political crises of confidence in British politics since Profumo. They are both revelatory of the realities of elite political power.

Canβt credit the author of this because I donβt know who. But very good little infographic. Worth sharing far and wide.
Farage is in trouble.
cannot imagine how it would feel, reading all those cheery friendly emails to Epstein from famous people after his conviction, if you are yourself a survivor of sexual abuse. On the case for moral leadership, not just an inquiry (tho hell yeah an inquiry too) www.theguardian.com/commentisfre...
Stephen Flynn of the SNP demanded to know whether the police were investigating. Usually, this kind of thing is that most appalling cant, especially coming from members of a party whose leaders have more experience than most of the inside of a police interview room. But in this case it was absolutely fair enough. Was Epstein the only wealthy man exchanging favours with Mandelson, or simply the only one we know about? It is impossible to write about Epstein, including here, without mentioning his crimes, but even if the financier had been a saint, Mandelsonβs decision to forward him confidential government information would still have been a scandal. Get caught doing that in any other job, and your feet wouldnβt touch the floor. It seems reasonable to ask whether Mandelson should still receive a ministerial pension.
The awfulness of Epstein risks overshadowing the fact that what Mandelson did would have been wrong whichever financier he was sending stuff to. thecritic.co.uk/pete...
βI want to contribute ideas that enable Britain to strengthen and to work for all, in every part of the country." Quote from Mandelson in this Times interview is utterly shameless

story updated: the investigation 'was opened in January 2025 following complaints about X's algorithm and the content it recommended'. It 'was expanded in July 2025 after reports of sexually explicit deepfakes and holocaust denial content circulating on the platform.'

For the McSweeney crew, Ed Miliband is the worst person on Planet Earth. They will do anything, including burn down a Labour government, to get at him. It is factional extremism and it will deliver a far-right UK government if it is not stopped. Sadly, Keir Starmer does not understand this.
As someone awaiting an appointment for a benign brain tumour at the QE in Birmingham this does not fill me with confidence.

She was the Government spokesperson doing the Sunday shows. You'd expect that she would be asked about matters outside her brief. What Trump is doing to Social Media is also pertinent to her role and Foreign Affairs.
