In board game land, a large and previously respected publisher decided to collab with JK Rowling to publish Codenames Harry Potter edition. 🤢
Not only did CGE double down, right now they’re actively blocking folks that expressed disappointment, including trans game designers.
It's the weekend, which makes it a perfect time to catch up on my latest! In this one, I take you through a year spent in search of the names of some uncredited game designers.

I know finding job in this industry in the past years is hard, but I've always been an optimist.
So, small life update incoming: after 6 years as a senior game designer at CMON and more than 50 games in my portfolio, I'm now out of job due to the recent sudden company layoffs.

I wrote up my visit to Knutepunkt 2025, the annual Nordic Larp conference, including:
- Why conferences are better with books, and books are better with conferences
- How conferences give you the context surrounding the theory
- Cool talks I saw
- Larpers' anxiety about accessibility and youth
Back from my 7th Knutepunkt. After so many years, it's still my favorite conference. The sense of community, innovation, care, and love that this events convey to me is immense. It was also intense and tiring of course, so now it's time to rest and ponder. See you in 2026, KP.

Also, inviting "non cis men" for the "pink quotas" sucks. Don't say to people you're inviting them "for the quotas": you're conveying the message that you only care about how you're perceived as the organized.
If you want somebody at your event, the least you can do is actually wanting THEM there.
In 2025,if you only invite cis men to a convention/event/whatever you're the problem.
There are plenty of women and non-cis queer people who do and create really cool, amazing, exceptional things. If half of your guests at an event TODAY are cis men, the problem is you and your circle.
