At the #WomensWorlds D3B, the Philippines dropped their third game of the tournament, to Israel by a score of 3-1

#WomensWorlds D3B:

1. EST (3-0-0-0) = 9
2. ISR (2-0-0-1) = 6
3. BIH (2-0-0-1) = 6
4. PHI (1-0-0-2) = 3
5. RSA (1-0-0-2) = 3
6. SGP (0-0-0-3) = 0

As D3B is the lowest tier, no one is relegated (provided no new teams join next year to form a D4)

So... an angry Estonian on reddit thinks that Canada cheated in the men's semifinal vs Finland because of the supposedly-offside 3-2 goal.

A goal that Finland challenged, and was ultimately ruled onside by an AMERICAN and a DANISH line judge.

Canada needs to come back with a vengeance at the #U18MensWorlds, #MensWorlds and #WomensWorlds.

The last time Canada didn't hold a title anywhere (Jan 1989 - Jan 1990), the following things didn't exist yet:

1. #WomensWorlds
2. #U18MensWorlds (in its current form)
3. #U18WomensWorlds
4. The women's Olympic tournament
5. Me

Canada is one tournament away from making history, and not in a good way.

If the #U18MensWorlds team fails to win gold, it will be the first time since all 7 IIHF events have existed (WU18 is youngest, launched 2008) that Canada will not be the reigning champion at any of them.

In my opinion, we've lost our right to be arrogant about our hockey teams a LONG time ago.

Canadian media: If a Canadian national hockey team is supposedly "the best team ever assembled", let them show us on the ice, and we can declare them that AFTER the tournament is over.

Canada's women AND men's teams need a coaching staff that is focused on the national team (like the European countries seem to have).

Clearly a coach that only has the job whilst taking a break from the N/PWHL isn't working.

USA: Has not lost an elimination game by more than one goal since Canada beat them 3-0 in the gold medal game of the 2025 #U18WomensWorlds.
