Rep Lauren Boebert's now-explained campaign expenses at a Kid Rock concert were tied to her $12,000/person fundraiser in a suite at the Kid Rock show.
That's about $521 for every diggy-diggy-diggy in Bawitdaba, or $173 on a per diggy basis.

As heard tonight on #kexp, a local hit that played on the βSoul Giantβ 1460 and 96.5 KYAC. My new favorite classic.

WNKU was really hitting its stride before that shutdown. A shame to lose what it was becoming.
βMostly?β
How comforting.
Sad to lose them but what a way to make the most of a station sale! Much respect and appreciation to the team at FM 102/1.
What a classic.
The Riches
@rossonradio.com might appreciate this one.
A huge influence for me on what talk radio could be, transcending the political and helping us all laugh at ourselves and the world around us a bit more. Gary was incredible.
Gary Burbank was an incredibly rare talent. His humor, the way he interacted with his team and callers. Showed me an entirely different side of talk radio, total legend.

KSKO? Stations like that are treasures.
Your work and that of the Next crew has renewed my hope in real journalism. What you all do is essential.

@wxpnfm.bsky.social doing Through the Decades already has made my weekend, but @wendyrollins.bsky.social is making it extra awesome. Some of the best mic skills Iβve heard on terrestrial radio in quite a while.
One of his absolute best tracks.

If youβre going to stream your terrestrial station and expect people to actually listen, maybe fix the distortion and poor audio. Itβs as though hundreds of broadcasters donβt actually listen to their own product and wonder why audiences are less engaged.

It would certainly interest me as a DJ and radio enthusiast.
Could we just live in slightly LESS interesting times for a bit? Just to catch our breath and allβ¦
Listening to Z62 WZON and WZLO in Bangor today. Those who cheer on βnationalizedβ radio may not be wrong on the economics, but local radio at its best reflects the uniqueness of its community. Losing that is a loss for culture and society writ large.
