Luckily the organizer allows for late submissions, which of course I will be taking advantage of. Game's complete, but it's is 3:30am and I don't feel like playtesting it right now.
Tomorrow it'll be available to play though!

Had a rough time recently, not much sleep and all that...
BUT we're on the last stretch, the game is for the most part playable, the map is there, just gotta refine what's there for the remaining 2 days.

Should've had that done earlier lol but animations are all in and some VFX in place, playing around with character feels fun, so I think we're on a good path. Niagara system surely is powerful but boy do I have no clue what I'm doing 😅

Starting to work on levels, I'm a bit behind the schedule (as always) but the visuals are there and the movement feels nice, together with animations it should pop off nicely, I have to finish them this weekend anyway

This concept is often hard for devs to grasp too, not just players. I put it as "the joy of doing" vs. "the joy of being".
Why does some grind or hard challenge feel joyful in game A, but a chore in game B? You enjoy *existing* in game A. The "thing to do" serves that joy.

Day 3-ish of MVM Jam, working on movement for the entirety of first week.
Taking this opportunity to get comfortable with blueprints, this is my first Unreal experience.
Conceptually, the character will turn into ball of lightning and travel on cables, you just gotta imagine most of it for now heh

I've been absent for sometime, mostly burned out from working on Fusionsmith and since I don't really have nothing else to talk about, I just stay quiet.
I've been invited by friends from Metroidvania Month Jam to take part in it soooooo it's happening, I'm back baaaybeeee
Other indie game devs, you should do this. Poland gets continually shafted with pricing in things like this, since they get lumped with other countries whose currencies are stronger
Poland is a large and very online market, it's good to make your pricing fair there and not rely on the auto pricing

The last frame I saw before the game froze from allocation overflow, too many projectiles spawned in one frame
I got something new and cool working!
...is what I would say if I didn't hit the infinte projectile replication bug last night, looks pretty though.

There is a proper equivalent for coding, that'd be prototype versus final implementation, you make it first, figure out what you need, then write it considering all the requirements.
...or just wing it and keep coming back to add necessary features like I do 😅
