Paid subscriber. Love that you are independent & actually do investigative journalism. I like that you often write about things that are not mainstream/a bit quirky. I like your sense of humour. I read most of your newsletters. I don't do podcasts, my brain doesn't process purely oral info well.
"It is a well-known fact that those people who must want to rule people are, ipso facto, those least suited to do it...
anyone who is capable of getting themselves made President [or PM] should on no account be allowed to do the job."
Douglas Adams, The Restaurant at the End of the Universe.
Pretty accurate description.

We have 2 EVs and a hybrid, about to trade in the hybrid for another longer range EV. Love EVs for so many reasons, wouldn't even consider getting another petrol car.

I'm in my late 60s and unfortunately understood nearly all of that (had to look up MQD cos I'm not from the US).
From the Parliament.nz site. Heading: "Follow us on social media" followed by a list of their accounts for FB, Instagram, LinkedIn and still including their Twitter/X handle.
Looks like they forgot to update Paliament.nz before telling people to check there for their social media accounts.
This post is one of the reasons I love Bluesky! Worth reading the whole thing. I learned a surprising amount about what is grown in greenhouses in Antarctica.

Tigilau Ness speak on several occasions. Awe inspiring! The Dawn Raids were a dark times in our history and we must fight to ensure there is never a repeat. www.youtube.com/watch?v=jWhA...
You forgot the part where 3 other people post saying that the expert is wrong and they know for sure it is (insert names of 3 different spiders here) because they did their research (Googled it).

I bet the answer wasn't UBI.
When I was teaching that one annoyed me so much. Kids would give a report of their weekend sports games and it was always "we versed x" or "we were versing y". Arrrgghh!
Me too!
So many Whittakers flavours that aren't nuts, would have been good to see them try some others like the dark salted caramel or the hokey pokey or berry forest etc.
Wow! How have you managed to avoid it before now? I have been breath-tested so many times I have lost count.
Always negative btw.
The pay equity changes push rural services closer to the brink
Whoosh, there goes the point
Over the head, in the air
Floating in silence.
0 on the original 20. Using a map without getting lost was close, used a physical map lots but still got lost a lot.
Was a teacher debating if my students should be allowed to use calculators so guess that counts. Never used a teletype & have learnt and forgotten a few letters of morse code so 1.5.
