@krudmonger

Also formerly the Krud who moderated on PC Gamer's website, and the Krud who wrote on a site called OD. Any other Kruds, living or dead, is purely coincidental.

So far much of their reaction to Iran's response has felt like an unironic riff on that Homer Simpson's surprised reaction to bees, "Ow! They're defending themselves somehow!"

Palantir CEO Makes Shocking Confession on Disrupting Democratic Power They’re saying the quiet part out loud now.

"Palantir CEO Alex Karp says his AI technology will lessen the power of “highly educated, often female voters, who vote mostly Democrat” while increasing the power of working-class men."

Just saying it right out loud now.

I keep seeing people ask about the 25th Amendment.

Guys. His entire Cabinet is walking around in shoes that don’t fit because they’re scared to take them off.

The 25th is never happening.

Few will notice that we're not running out having stickers of Trump pointing at gas prices saying "I Did That!" Because we were never the "deranged" ones.

I'm confused as to what this is. Does he sing? Tell jokes? Play the banjo? List his favorite album tracks? What.

Fruit basket stands? All this time I just let fruit baskets sit on flat surfaces like a peasant.

"Denver will pay a BIG price – we’re coming in hot!”

Such a unifier. Peace in our time. Definitely not the attitude of a dictator.

The mornings when I'm trying to make it to an appointment are always the mornings where there's a 15-minute train.

It's like a school bully who daily steals everyone else's lunch money and then complains, "Why do I have to sit by myself during lunch? That hardly seems fair."

But you won't see Dems putting Trump "I DID THAT" stickers on gas pumps, because we have to see his face way too much as it is.

This is particularly true of information that had likely been scraped from a previously existing website that, like so many websites from 1996-2006, is now defunct.

One thing I miss about old Google was the confidence that if you searched for something and didn't find it, then it probably didn't exist. (This was useful when brainstorming creative ideas and character names.) Now it can just mean that Google has deemed the information not worth holding onto.

Some of these are contextual, but basically I went with "if it makes me anxious in conversation or pop culture, it counts here." If I were actively dying alone, or going insane, or pregnant, I would probably fear that, but they're not phobias.

Maybe we can hire one of those YouTubers who find old and decrepit rugs and bring them back to life with a good toothbrush scrubbing.

Y'know how pilots, astronauts and other professions go through simulation testing periods before they're given control of powerful and/or costly resources?

We need something like that for leaders. Put them in a Virtual White House, see what they do with the power first before handing them the keys.

I don't know who needs to hear this, but please DO not go actively sh*tting on individual military servicemember's YouTubes and Discords and Instagrams and TikToks and whatever else. None of the recent decisions being made were theirs. Aim your complaints where they belong.

Did Alzheimer’s Impact Terry Pratchett’s Discworld? I have a variety of techniques I use to deal with the ongoing collapse of everything, most of them different kinds of drugs. But I also have healthy habits, like reading, and when it comes to readi…

A new study examined Terry Pratchett's Discworld novels to see if they could detect changes in his writing prior to his tragic Alzheimer's diagnosis. Here's what the study says, and what it doesn't say 🧪 skepchick.org/2026/03/did-...

Idea: A "Parks and Rec" style docu-show, but it's about an overly-enthusiastic worker who visits the various guards maintaining the mountainous Beacons of Gondor, making sure the wood is dry, that they have enough oil and kindling, and just keeping morale up after decades of not lighting them.

Dear IP milkers: stop giving us grandiose lore-bending prequels. Give us slice-of-life period piece miniseries, like a "Cheers"-style show at the Prancing Pony. Or a Bridgerton-like show set in House Tyrell. Or "The Adventures of Danny Pink."

Sincerely, a guy who liked "Agatha All Along."
