i am thoroughly enjoying this: reading students’ handwritten answers (i was pleasantly surprised to not have any trouble reading!) and responding with my own written feedback in the margins.
feels so much more organic and real and personal than grading & providing feedback in an LMS.

for the first time in my teaching career i assigned an in-class test using blue books this semester (because AI 🙄)
i want to limit test anxiety as much as possible so i used a strategy from a colleague and gave students the test questions a week in advance.
