Gratulálok!

Used to translate books, now a manual software tester. I write sad poems in English and sff stories in my native Hungarian. I make Celtic knotwork inspired animal drawings and take too many photos of the same hills and vales. Trans rights are human rights.
Gratulálok!
sunset over wooded hills
a view of Budapest from the woods
Sunset done, waiting for the full moon to rise. The air is hazy with Sahara dust but otherwise clear. The birds are loud.
David Lynch saying ‘One day, the sadness will end. But I don’t think today’s the day.’
I think about this Tony Benn speech much more than I used to
I just watched it this week and loved it. Very different from Derry Girls, but in a way the same world through a more mature and much darker lens (no escaping certain themes in a story set in Northern Ireland). Mad, funny, heartbreaking, full of rain and a surprising amount of sunshine.
Greeting the daffodils in the sunshine on the last day of Meteorological Winter. Photograph taken this morning shortly after sunrise in Glastonbury.

Inclusion does not mean giving marginalised people shittier versions of a thing: Sure you can give kids from poorer backgrounds an LLM to "learn" but what you are saying is that poor people are not worth having trustworthy sources of information. When you say that older or lonely people can talk to chatbots to feel less alone you are saying that some people are not worth a social life. This is a deeply inhumane perspective that goes actively against the ideas and ideals of inclusion. likesupportcelebrate 186 You and 185 others

If he's so pro-infection, he could always try rabies!
I normally wouldn't wish that on anyone, but these people are pure evil.
Yeah. On the one hand, this IS extremely very scary... on the other hand, people are getting very, very angry and that's also scary.
Varies, for me it was 3-4 years from irregular periods to none, for my mom it just stopped one month and never came back. But hormonal changes start way before that and many doctors suggest starting hrt before periods stop, so I hope the doctor in April will be able to help you! Fingers crossed!
very important video please watch
I'm rather fond of Pope Leo.
People think I’m against ai because it’s “coming for my art job”. Yes, ok, but I’m against it on a whole nother level. I honestly believe it will cause a catastrophic dumbification of us. This lady knows what’s up.
Two decades after a small Duke breast cancer vaccine trial, every participant is still alive — a rare outcome for metastatic disease. When researchers looked closer, they found the women’s immune systems still carried “memory” cells that recognised the cancer. buff.ly/MNeRhJh

This comes two weeks after the Council of Europe banned conversion therapy.
The right wing and activist press like the nyt have worked hard to promote the false narrative that transphobic policies are sweeping Europe. They were pushing a lie. Europe speaks for itself
Lost a lot of high school friends when I broke up with my hs sweetheart but I know they still meet regularly, 30+ years on. Had a very close hs friend for ~25 years, until he became an incel. Still have another hs friend I meet 4-5 times a year to watch the full moon and talk about books and bands.
Curling doesn't necessarily have to be just a winter sport.
Interrupting my regularly scheduled programming to announce the happy news that the Baltic Sea froze over, generating vast surfaces suitable for long-distance skating. My old friend Jens Liljestrand and I took some time off to explore the edge of the archipelago today, and it was glorious ❄️❄️❄️
In the same boat, I hope it gets better for us all!

My right hand's been hurting for months and today my left hand started to hurt... right after the first drum lesson where I didn't feel like my left hand was noticeably weaker. I guess the mysterious pain is from holding the drumstick all wrong. It will be hell to relearn this after 2+ years.
