Great news that the Maryland House of Delegates passed the Metro Funding Modification Act of 2026 to keep our Metro system running and keep capital projects to improve the system on track! Thank you Delegate @mkorman.bsky.social for your work to make this happen.

We are sending our best wishes for a full recovery to the individual injured and our thoughts are with their family and all the students and staff. This violence has no place in our county, especially our schools. The investigation is underway.

Today marks the beginning of Black History Month. As the country faces so much uncertainty and the erasure and rewriting of history by the federal administration, it’s imperative that we lift up the stories and experiences of Black Americans. Black history is Maryland History. It’s American history.

Thrilled that Long Branch has been selected as the newest Designated Main Street Maryland community by the Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development! As Secretary Jake Day saw during his visit, Long Branch is a diverse and active area home to many locally-owned small businesses.
