Climate change messaging has a positive effect, across many different groups in different countries. Big study. But, does public opinion about the importance of climate change translate into climate action? Amidst worry about cost of living and geopolitics?

It's also very large: in 2024, PIK researchers published over 400 articles in peer-reviewed journals, and total citations to PIK papers topped 55k during that year.
Plenty of pathbreaking work is done at PIK. Often with big impact in the research community, and on public policy and public perceptions of climate change, approaches and solutions.
We review progress and discussed future plans. One might expect consequential changes to what matters in climate policy research, as a result of geopolitical rupture.
